Katie is certified by Balanced Body in Pilates, a 200 hour RYT & certified in Barre.
What began as just dabbling with Yoga, hoping to combat pain & discomfort, led her to pick up a Pilates DVD, knowing nothing about it. Instantly she was drawn to the mind & body strengthening aspects that Joseph Pilates created. This continued for years until she realized it needed to be incorporated into her daily life. It is now a form of movement therapy and pain management she is grateful for & even more so, for having the opportunity to allow others to experience the benefits these movement modalities provide.
Barre entered the picture more recently and she quickly realized how will it compliments Pilates & Yoga. Barre offered her an opportunity to build even more strength in weaker areas, aid in balanced muscular development & is joint-friendly.
Katie enjoys spending time with her awesome family, hiking, creating fiber art, researching movement exercise and playing on her mat while her kids climb on her.
